With children, 'me time' is something that as parents we all crave. However, if we succeed in gaining some precious moments for ourselves can it be to the detriment of our children?
We are all guilty of using the television as a babysitter on the odd occasion, or extending their allotted viewing time to fit in with something about which we say"I just need to do this".
But, now and then, we do realise quality time is being neglected.
As individuals we have interests and hobbies, and it is important that we do so. However, it can be hard not be wracked with parental guilt if we feel we should be spending more time with our children instead.
They will not want to spend time with you forever so make the very most of it and create memories as a family which you can share as a family in the future.
